New DuraLabel PRO Printer and Supplies
There has been a lot happening with DuraLabel PRO. A new printer. New supplies. And more!
Let’s start with new DuraLabel supplies. The original DuraLabel printer can now use DuraLabel PRO supplies. The complete line of DuraLabel PRO supplies can be used, including new supplies such as electrostatic dissipative tapes.
Speaking of new DuraLabel PRO supplies, here are a few:
Electrostratic Dissipative tapes. These are tapes that prevent the build-up of static charges. Why is this important? If labels are to used on electronic equipment, they should be made using electrostatic dissipative tapes. Small discharges of static can cause damage to electronic components. Static can be created on labels while they are being printed, when the backing is pulled off, or when the label is being applied.
But, there’s another reason to use electrostatic dissipative tapes. Static can build up and discharge during the printing of the label. The result will be bubbling of the ink at each point of discharge, and this causes imperfections in the printing. It usually shows up as spots in the printing. If you work in an environment that is subject to static build-up, and if high quality printing is essentially, then you may need to consider using static dissipative tapes.
While we’re on the subject of high quality label and sign printing, that brings to mind the new DuraLabel PRO 300 printer. I’ll talk about that in my next blog post.
