Selecting The Right DuraLabel Supplies

Posted in DuraLabel Pro, DuraLabel Supplies, Industrial Label Printers, Labeling Supplies at 7:41 am by duralabel

Getting the right DuraLabel supplies is easy because the DuraLabel has the right supplies for the job.  That’s because there is such a wide variety of supplies available for the DuraLabel.  For example:

Reflective tapes are available for making high visibility labels and signs.

Arc flash label materials are available for clearly marking electrical and arc flash hazards.  In fact you can choose from a variety of materials for making arc flash labels.  There are two types of die-cut labels, WARNING and DANGER.  Plus die-cut arc flash labels are available in three languages.  Another option is to use two color vinyl tapes–that’s something not available anywhere else.  Or you can use single color vinyl to make arc flash labels.

Most DuraLabel supplies come with permanent adhesive.  However, if you need to do temporary labeling, or need to be able to relocate labels, repositionable vinyl tapes are available.  These have a lighter adhesive, like a post-it note, so they can be removed and reapplied in another location.

Of course DuraLabel supplies include continuous vinyl. DuraLabel vinyl is a 3.0 mil vinyl.  This has proven to be a very durable vinyl that is still flexible enough to print well and remain stuck to round surfaces such as pipes.

RTK labels are available in a variety of sizes and in two styles–one with the NFPA Diamond, the other with color bars.  Other brands of RTK labels require the label to be manually laminated to protect it.  DuraLabel quality supplies do not need extra lamination.  You can expect long life, and resistance to chemicals, moisture, UV and abrasion from all DuraLabel supplies.

Here is a useful type of supply… DuraTag stock.  Available in multiple colors, this is super tough tag stock.  It is so tough that you can directly punch a hole in a tag and hang that tag without a grommet.  DuraTag stock resists tearing and ripping.  It is excellent for labeling valves, instruments, tubing, transmitters, actuators, dampers and more.

There are many other types of DuraLabel supplies such as wire wraps, shrink tubes, tamper evident, low temperature, glow-in-the dark and more.  When need to make labels and signs, the printer to have is a DuraLabel PRO… there’s no question about that.  Give Graphic Products a call at 1-800-788-5572 to learn more about the DuraLabel PRO printer and DuraLabel supplies.  You’ll be glad you did.

Pipe Marking Guide Updated

Posted in DuraLabel Pro, DuraLabel Pro Supplies, DuraLabel Supplies, Pipe Marking at 6:42 am by duralabel

The folks who make the DuraLabel printers have upgraded their pipe marking guide to provide more information and better graphics.  You can request a free copy of this pipe marking guide.

They offer a pipe marking guide because this is one of the most common applications for the DuraLabel.    Pipe markers are labels on pipes that identify the contents of the pipe, the direction of flow and the hazard category.  Simply put, they are labels that provide safety information, as well information that helps in operating the facility.

Pipe markers must be on all pies so that they can be seen from any location.  If the pipe can e seen, emergency personnel need to be able to identify the contents and the direction of flow.  What is the direction of flow important?  Because it allows an upstream valve, that can be closed to stop the flow, to be easily identified.

The DuraLael series is ideal for making pipe markers for a number of reasons.  For example, it is any easy printer to use.   Start with a Word template (included with the DuraLabel) and you can have a pipe marker customized and printed in about a minute.  With the high speed printing provided by the DuraLabel, duplicate pipe marker labels are printed in seconds.  It’s a great time saver.

The DuraLabel is ideal for making pipe markers because DuraLabel supplies are high quality vinyl with permanent adhesive.  Labels made using the DuraLabel are industrial quality that resist fading in weather or sunlight. The printing is water, chemical and abrasion resistant.

The DuraLabel is ideal for making pipe markers because DuraLabel supplies save you money, without cutting any corners.  You’ll typically pay about half of what supplies for comparable machines cost, just because you are buying direct from the manufacturer.

What do you do if a pipe is rusty, greasy  or oily?  Adhesive labels won’t stick.  Use DuraLabel Pipe Grabber pipe marking sleeves.  These plastic sleeves provide a clean surface that labels will stick to.   They snap into place around a pip, providing the necessary pipe label with no hassles.

That’s right DuraLabel has the answer when it comes to pipe marking.  Call 1-800-788-5572 today.  You’ll be glad you did.

What Is So Great About The DuraLabel PRO?

Posted in DuraLabel Pro, Industrial Label Printers at 6:24 am by duralabel

I’ve talked a lot about the DuraLabel printers, but why?  Why spend time even considering a DuraLabel printer?  What is a DuraLabel printer?

The DuraLabel printers are designed for industrial labeling and sign making applications.  That means they are not suitable for home or hobby use.  They are not well suited for small business use, unless that business is involved in providing industrial services.  However, just because they are designed for industrial applications, that does not mean they are limited to industrial and manufacturing facilities.  For example many health care facilities, schools, office buildings (facility managers), and natural resources organizations use DuraLabel printers.  They are very versatile printers, with an ROI that makes them attractive throughout a wide range of business types.

Being designed for industrial applications just means the DuraLabel is a rugged printer.  It means DuraLabel printers have high quality supplies that are designed to be durable.  They aggressive adhesive keeps labels and signs stuck whee they belong, and the industrial vinyl and ribbons produces labels and signs that don’t fade in sunlight or wet weather.  It does not matter what type of business, government agency or institution needs labels and signs, the DuraLabel can deliver.  From making OSHA safety signs and labels, to creating pipe markers, warehouse labels and directional signs… the DuraLabel is the printer that gets the job done.

So, what’s so great about the DuraLabel?  I often start by talking about how much money you’ll save because DuraLabel supplies cost less.  But that’s not the biggest reason the DuraLabel is so great.  The biggest reason is the quality, ease-of-use, and reliability the DuraLabel delivers.  Even though you are saving money, if the DuraLabel didn’t deliver these three key qualities, its not worth saving money upfront. You’ll just lose it later on when signs fail, your employees spend too much time trying to get the machine to run, and the printer isn’t available when you need it.  Quality, ease-of-use and reliability, those are the reasons to be using a DuraLabel industrial sign and label printer… and by the way, you’ll also save a lot money.
