DuraLabel Supplies – Reflective Tapes
DuraLabel reflective tapes provide high visibility visual communication under low light conditions. They are excellent for making labels and signs that need to be viewed at night, or with a flashlight.
Although the widest tape the DuraLabel can print is 4 inches, signs can be created that use multiple strips of tape with the text spanning a number of tapes. For example, DuraLabel reflective tapes can be used to create a 2′ x 3′ parking lot sign. Nine strips of reflective tape would be combined, one above the other, to create this sign. When applied to a plastic or aluminum backing, the result is a durable, professional quality, highly visible sign.
The DuraLabel can make signs for traffic control, to communicate emergency information, to provide identifying information or to deliver safety messages. With reflective DuraLabel tapes the message is clear, and easy-to-read, even when the lighting is poor.

FREE Pipe Marking Guide From DuraLabel
A new pipe marking guide, announced just yesterday, is now available on the DuraLabel web site. This new guide expands on the information available in the previous pipe marking guide, and presents it in three easy-to-read sections.
The top section of the guide shows the color codes used for ANSI pipe markers. The codes are described and examples are given of substances that fall into each category.
The middle section provides a table showing the minimum label size and minimum text size for various outside diameters. The outside diameter includes the pipe with any covering that is on the pipe.
The lower section describes and graphically illustrates the locations where pipe markers need to be used.
One of the major applications for the DuraLabel printer and DuraLabel supplies is making pipe markers. With the high quality of DuraLabel vinyl tapes you can be assured of having pipe markers that will last a long time.

DuraLabel Supplies – Phosphorescent Tapes
Phosphorescent, or “glow-in-the-dark” tapes are an interesting supply that is available for the DuraLabel printer. They are typically used to provide emergency information during a power failure. Using phosphorescent tapes improves safety and reduces costs because there is no need to maintain battery power to light the signs that provide emergency information. Phosphorescent signs will reliably glow, and be readable, when normal lighting fails.
In addition to emergency signs there are other uses for phosphorescent tapes. They are used to outline doors, mark handrails, and identify steps in a stairway so all of these will visible and will not cause a hazard during a power failure. They are used on floors to make the path to emergency exits. They are used to make equipment and tools that may be needed during an emergency.
Nothing special needs to be done to make phosphorescent labels and signs. Just load the phosphorescent tape into your DuraLabel and start printing labels and signs. The result will be dark lettering on a glowing green background. When lit by normal illumination the labels will have black lettering on an off-white background.
