DuraLabel 4 Software

Posted in Labeling Software at 4:31 pm by duralabel

I’ve been writing a lot recently about DuraLabel 4 supplies, to the extent that I almost missed a new release of the DuraLabel 4 software.

What is the DuraLabel 4 software?  It is database software for printing NFPA diamond labels, color bar RTK labels and arc flash warning labels.  It works with die cut DuraLabel 4 supplies designed for RTK labeling and arc flash labeling.

Version 2.30.87 of the DuraLabel 4 software is now available.  It may be downloaded from the DuraLabel 4 Support web site.

While this update does not provide new features of label formats, it is worthwhile to download and install.  This update provides a number of small enhancements and improvements.  Each one by itself is not very significant, but overall this update makes the software easier to use.

This update requires that the full software already be installed on your computer.  This update includes all previous updates.

Creating A HazCom Program

Posted in HazCom Labeling at 6:11 pm by duralabel

What is the first step in creating or improving an existin HazCom program?

A little research and training, and you can do both free.  Visit the OSHA HAZCOM Program page for links to resources that will get your hazcom program off the ground.  The page has links to a number of examples that show you what a hazcom program looks like.  The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Hazcom Help link will lead you to software that helps employers prepare a hazard communication program.

There is a link to Oregon OSHA’s course #205, Hazard Communication.  I have taken more than a half dozen on the Oregon OSHA online safety courses, including this one.  They are all excellent.  And they are all free.  If you live outside of Oregon you can not receive credit for the course, nor will your quize be corrected by an instructor at Oregon OSHA, but the complete courses are available and open to all.

DuraLabel 4 Supplies

The word is out. DuraLabel wants your suggestions, comments, problems and ideas. Many companies pay customer suggestions lip service, but few actually take action on customer suggestions. DuraLabel not only wants to hear from you, if it is at all practical they will act on what you tell them. Call your customer service representative and tell them about the things you’d like to be able to do with your DuraLabel 4TTP. They’ll pass that information on the the DuraLabel product development team.

Although there is already a huge variety of supplies available for the DuraLabel 4, there is always room for improvement. Keep in mind, however, that the DuraLabel 4 is an industrial quality label and sign printer. If you are a hobbiest or home user, then the DuraLabel probably is not the right label printer for you. The typical DuraLabelo user works for a Fortune 5,000 corporation, the military, a government agency, a non-profit, or a school.

There are already DuraLabel 4 supplies available for a wide variety of applications. It may be that the supplies you need are already available. Your customer service representative can get you the information you need. The DuraLabel can print labels for things ranging from CAT-5 cable in a school, to pipe labels in a nuclear power plant.
